After successed with "The Raid: Redemption" and its sequel "The Raid: Berandal", Iko Uwais will star in a Hollywood movie, called "Beyond Skyline".

Reported from Variety.com on Monday, Nov 8, Audy Item's husband is choosen as one of the character of "Beyond Skyline", which is a sequel of "Skyline" (2010). Beside Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhiyat who is well-knowned as "Mad Dog" in "The Raid", also will take part in "Beyond Skyline". "We will show new style of fight against alien. So, who else it would be if it is not the most innovative fight club in the world." Greg Strause, the producer, stated. It is become the reason behind those two names starring in "Beyond Skyline".

In this movie, Iko Uwais will play as the leader of fight against alien. However, Yayan Ruhiyat's character has not been known. Besides acting, Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhiyat will be the choreographers for the action scenes for the movie which directed by Liam O'Donnell. This movie will start filming in December, in Batam, Indonesia.

"Skyline" which released four years ago, is not too famous. Film critics gave bad report. The score on Rotten Tomatoes only showed 15 percent.

In Box Office, this movie only got $78,6 millions. In the contrary, the producer has got the profit because the budget of the movie is only cost around $10-20 millions.

Before this movie, Iko Uwais has played in "Man of Taichi", an American-Chinese production which stared Keanu Reeves, even though it is just a small part.
